Hi, I’m Rebecca

Entrepreneur · Co-Founder of B & L Group · Founder of CPWOMAN

For more than three decades, I have built businesses, led complex international projects, created communities, and connected people and ideas across cultures.

My journey has taken me from entrepreneurship and engineering project management to global community leadership, women’s development, education, and now, a new generation of ventures built around everything I have learned along the way.

Where It Began

My professional journey began in Northeast China, where I started my career teaching English at a college before moving into international business. As Executive Secretary to the General Manager to the General Manager of the region’s first foreign investment company, I gained early experience in administration, joint-venture projects, business development, and international business relations.

I later became the first local employee of Northeast China’s first international engineering and project management company. My work took me directly to the project site, client meetings, and business development, giving me firsthand experience in the world of international engineering and project management.

My career then took me to Beijing, where I joined a U.S.-based international engineering and project management company. From Executive Secretary and Executive Assistant, my role expanded to become the company’s dedicated China Public Relations and Government Affairs specialist, while also taking on business development for Northern China. My responsibilities included senior-level communications and coordinating high-level visits, including those of former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz.

These early experiences became the foundation for what came next: building a business of my own.

Building Businesses

For more than three decades, I have built businesses and worked across industries and markets. As Co-Founder and Co-President of B & L Group, I helped grow an international business serving global companies operating in China.

Our work focused on project management for major industrial and international projects, including the USA Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai and China’s first industrial project to achieve LEED Platinum certification. During construction, I was also involved in hosting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her visit to the USA Pavilion.

Building CPWOMAN

For more than twelve years, I have built CPWOMAN as a platform for women’s leadership, career development, personal growth, well-being, and meaningful connection.

Through global summits, forums, and signature programs such as Rebecca’s Exclusive Dialogue, CPWOMAN has brought together accomplished women, business leaders, and professionals from different industries and cultures to share experiences, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections.

Today, I am building its next chapter, expanding CPWOMAN into a more global community and creating new ways for women to connect, learn, and grow across countries and generations.

Leadership & Community

Leadership has been an important part of my journey beyond building businesses and organizations.

Over the years, I have served in leadership roles across business, professional, educational, and international communities, including Co-Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee at American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) and Co-Chair of the Professional Women’s Committee at China American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham China) Northeast Chapter, and Board Member and Program Director of Women in International Trade, Los Angeles Chapter.

My community leadership has included serving three terms on the University of Souther California ( USC) Alumni Association Board of Governors, two terms on the USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association Board of Governors, leading the USC Shanghai Alumni Club as its first female president for three years, and serving as Co-Founding Chair of the USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association Hawaii Chapter.

These experiences have allowed me to build and lead communities, connect people across industries and cultures, and contribute to organizations in both the United States and China.
